During last 30 years MasterCard has been one of the leaders among payment systems. Cards of this system are widespread all over the world more than any others. The card is issued with conducting the account in foreign currency (US dollars).
The card allows its owner:
· To pay goods and services in more than 12 million trading and service enterprises in 254 countries;
· To receive cash in cash machines, exchange offices and bank’s cash desks;
· To receive discounts in the hotels, in such companies as: AVIS, Hertz, Europcar, Nippon , National and Tilden while hiring the car;
· To visit worldwide exclusive fitness and entertainment clubs for members of Executive Club International (ECI)
· At loss of the card MasterCard company guarantees replacement of the card or giving out cash means in equivalent of 1000 US dollars within 24 hours.
In comparison with the owner of cash the owner of the international plastic card MasterCard possesses such advantages as:
1. there is no necessity to have a significant amount of cash in various kinds of currency;
2. high degree of safety of means of the Holder – to use stolen card is much more difficult than stolen cash;
3. some services abroad are provided only for owners of the international plastic cards.
